Synthesized Org. Expertise to Boost Internal Engagement
Partnered with change management and SMEs to transform a fragmented KM system into a centralized, self-service SharePoint hub with on-demand training and promotional content, driving adoption, increasing service requests, and supporting faster R&D timelines for better patient outcomes.
-
Challenge: The Knowledge Management (KM) branch needed to increase visibility and engagement across R&D teams. With $1M+ in underutilized resources, there was no centralized knowledge hub to promote services / software or offer self-service options to internal customers.
Action: I collaborated with change management and SMEs to identify key training needs, reduce redundancy, and build impactful learning experiences to foster service and software adoption. I conducted a knowledge artifact analysis and administered a SharePoint-based SSOT. Using Articulate, Camtasia, and Vyond, I developed an on-demand learning series and animated promotional videos to drive engagement.
Result: The KM team saw a measurable increase in customer requests through email and their ticketing system. Their training was adopted into onboarding processes, and the KM site became a go-to resource across R&D departments.
Business Alignment: Learning strategies were aligned with the business goal to reduce R&D timelines to speed time to market for improved patient outcomes.
Unified Data Scientists with Learning Journeys & Networking
Designed a centralized SharePoint SSOT with tailored learning journeys and community engagement strategies, boosting training participation, peer connection, and alignment with R&D’s goal to foster continuous learning and innovation.
-
Challenge: R&D data scientists lacked a central space for professional development, making it difficult to find training, connect with peers, or participate in internal learning events.
Action: Through user analysis and content audits, I designed tailored learning journeys and built a SharePoint SSOT. I integrated links to LMS/LXP courses, webinars, and event registration. I also hosted interactive community sessions to promote collaboration and peer connection.
Result: Traffic to the SharePoint site, LMS, and LXP increased. Internal metrics showed greater engagement with training, and data scientists reported feeling more connected and supported.
Business Alignment: Learning strategies were aligned with the business goal to invest in employee continuous learning to support career development and innovation.

Business Analysis:
Specialization as a Competitive Advantage
-
Takeda's specialization in niche therapeutic areas, combined with strategic use of Pharma 4.0 technologies and targeted partnerships, positions the company to lead in underrepresented markets while reducing R&D costs. By aligning customer training and engagement strategies with this focused innovation model, we can tailor experiences that emphasize value, trust, and speed to impact in high-growth segments.
Lessons Learned: Aligning KM and LXD Strategies with Business Goals
While working with the global teams, I explored how to align knowledge and learning strategies with business goals by using the company as a case study in my MBA program. In a Strategic Management course, I analyzed how Takeda’s specialization strategy, AI/LLM integration, and partnerships support competitive advantage. This reinforced the importance of unifying knowledge, fostering collaboration, and applying learning experience design to improve efficiency and knowledge transfer. However, no initiative is sustainable without employee and leadership buy-in. Effective change management is essential to shaping behaviors that enable knowledge flow and continuous learning.
